Guide badge

I'm Dylan William, a qualified London Blue Badge guide. Join me for a guided tour through the streets of my favourite city. I specialise in London's history, architecture and art. For the past eight years I've been showing London's hidden treasures to visitors from around the world. My London Walks are short and easy. I welcome questions, and if we have time we may be able to discuss other places on your itinerary. I'm also available for private tours of art galleries and architectural highlights.

Central London Walks from Piccadilly Circus. Start from Statue of Eros (pictured). About two miles and lasting about two hours.

No need to book, simply turn up and look for the man with the distinctive beard.

GUARD CHANGE & ROYAL LONDON

Changing the Guard at Buckingham Palace is a complicated (and crowded) event which I will explain from good vantage points. Then a walk taking in some of the houses and statues with royal connections.

ST JAMES'S & SOHO

A walk through aristocratic St James's and cosmopolitan Soho, two very different areas at the heart of London, where we shall see grand houses, spacious squares, narrow passages and tiny hidden courtyards, smart shops and market stalls. The West End started here in the 1660s and today it's one of the busiest and most colourful parts of town.

Evening Walks and Tours

THE NATIONAL GALLERY

Here we can follow the development of art in Europe by looking at the techniques and methods used by some of the best-known of the old masters; an easy introduction to some of the highlights in this splendid building.

ISLINGTON

One of London's many 'villages', Islington has developed along different lines to the East and West Ends. A good opportunity to explore an inner borough with some fine leafy streets, a Tudor manor house, the New River, a fresh water supply from the 1600's, a pretty stretch of the Regents Canal, plus charming shops and a bustling High Street with many destination pubs and restaurants.
